Paul Blart : Mall Cop

Yesterday , After my tuition , Mommy , Adik and I went for a movie . We wanted to watch Mall Cop at Sunway but idk , It's full or there's no suitable time i guess . So we watched it at Summit . Yeah , Summit . Haha . At 7.15 . :)



It was awwweeesssooommmeeee ! Freaking Funny . You must watch it , It is a must . You'll be laughing your ass off . It is a hilarious comedy from start to end is all i can say ;) Perfecto :D


A New Jersey rent-a-cop gets his moment to shine as the holidays approach and Santa's little helpers stage a coup at the local shopping mall in this comedy . Paul Blart is a single suburban dad attempting to make ends meet by working as a mall security guard. Paul takes his job very seriously; unfortunately the same can't be said for the shoppers he deals with on a daily basis. That all changes the day that Santa's little helpers shut down the mall and start taking hostages, including Paul's daughter and his main squeeze. Realizing that no one knows the mall better than the man who's paid to guard it, Paul mounts his Segway and speeds to the rescue .

Paul Blart: Mall Cop is as sticky and gooey as a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, a snack the movie's title character has no doubt sampled once or twice over the years during his shift. A high-concept mash-up of Die Hard and Kung Fu Panda, Blart gives sitcom star Kevin James a showcase for broad-comedy pratfalls, providing him 87 minutes to plop, flop and crash into things, highlights of which have been playing nonstop on Nickelodeon for the last two weeks.

The targeted tween audience will lap up James' antics, but for the rest of us, Blart is just empty calories. The genial James has an appealing everyman quality, but the movie, written by James and his "King of Queens" writing partner Nick Bakay and directed by journeyman Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care), too often settles for easy, lazy jokes, most of which revolve around either food or running into stuff.

Blart lives in New Jersey with his mother (Shirley Knight) and daughter (Raini Rodriguez), covering the loneliness of his existence by slathering peanut butter on his nightly slice of pie. "Peanut butter . . . it fills the cracks of the heart," Blart says between bites.

Blart does gain a measure of fulfillment from his job at a West Orange, N.J., mall, where he scoots nimbly around on a Segway (the film gets nice mileage capturing James' dexterity on the two-wheeler), going about his sworn duty to "detect, deter, observe and report." That he has no real authority is an idea the filmmakers try to exploit, but the best scenario they can imagine involves Blart wrestling a heavyset woman in a lingerie store.

The movie's main action involves Black Friday, an elaborate robbery scheme, a hostage scenario, criminals played by actual X Games athletes and a shot at redemption for our hero. There's also a love story between Blart and a doe-eyed kiosk saleswoman (Jayma Mays), a good egg who intuits that somewhere beneath the mall cop's doughy exterior beats the heart of a champion. And not just because he won the nacho-eating contest, either.

Similarly, underneath all the cartoonish mall mayhem and silly slapstick lies a comedy that aspires to be the sort of gentle crowd-pleaser John Hughes used to make. Trouble is, the filmmakers are unwilling to sacrifice any of James' rolling-and-tumbling time to beef up Blart's history or his relationship with his daughter. Even a minimal adjustment could have made the movie's late-in-the-game, heartstrings-tugging peril more palatable.

Then again, maybe we should be thankful for the tone as is. The movie's few stabs at emotion involve music cues using Barry Manilow's "Weekend in New England" and Survivor's "I Can't Hold Back." The Manilow song might -- repeat, might -- be a stab at irony, but it should be noted that Adam Sandler, a longtime advocate of the simple pleasures of Styx, mentored James and produced Blart. Don't think he doesn't own a copy of Survivor's greatest hits.

After wisely affixing himself to Will Smith (Hitched) and Adam Sandler (I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry), Kevin James rides solo in Paul Blart: Mall Cop, an almost shockingly amateurish one-note-joke comedy on which the star also shares writing and producing credit. Seemingly designed to facilitate mall marketing and retail tie-ins, the movie itself has only one consistent strategy -- namely, capitalizing on James' adeptness at hurling his sizable bulk around. It is, pardon the expression, an extremely slim approach, which should yield quickly diminishing returns after a more solid opening than most actual malls are seeing in this economy.
Having successfully made the comic-to-actor transition on the sitcom "The King of Queens," James possesses an inherent sweetness and an amiable-lug quality. Along with his penchant for pratfalls, there are hints of the late Jackie Gleason in him -- though with efforts like Mall Cop, any similarities will pretty much end there.

Directed by Steve Carr (Daddy Day Care), the movie is so shoddily edited that there are glaring gaps in the action, including a chase sequence that begins within the mall and suddenly, inexplicably, winds up on the roof. The same goes for a left-field twist involving the protagonist's daughter, just to name a few of the "Huh?" moments, as if somebody decided trimming the fat was the only way to make this food-court flotsam palatable.

The premise ostensibly hopes to spoof Die Hard, with rejected state trooper applicant-turned-security guard Paul Blart (James) as the "man on the inside," forced to defend a New Jersey mall after high-tech thieves have seized control. While Paul tools around on a Segway, the thieves navigate the shopping center on skateboards for no particular reason other than the fact that 12-year-olds -- who clearly represent the target audience of this PG-rated endeavor -- tend to like them.

A divorced dad who takes the expression "comfort food" to extremes that include slathering peanut butter on pie, Paul has set his eye on Amy (Jayma Mays, carving out an odd niche as the object of nerd affection, having played a similar role on "Heroes"), who staffs one of the mall kiosks. Naturally, she's among the hostages taken, prompting Paul to seek creative ways to thwart the bad guys, who, fortunately, appear to have guns only when they have no opportunity to shoot at him.

Although produced by Sandler's company, the project appears to have been made on a budget of the big-box-store variety. Still, even given the movie's modest ambitions, it's surprising to see a studio release in which details like continuity and coherence are such a conspicuous afterthought.
James still has potential as the kind of unorthodox leading man who resembles a sizable portion of America, and he has mastered a hangdog expression that makes him easy to root for. Enduring Mall Cop, though, only brings to mind the depressing scenario currently playing out in malls all over: Even with cut-rate goods at discount prices, the answer's no sale.

Funny Mommy

3 post in a day , Yay :D

Haha , Oh after the cross country , I had my piano class and i posted the blog about the drama ? Yeah .


I went downstairs and heard my mommy's car so i went outside and opened the gate . Mommy was like , 'Lets go , do you want to cut your hair?' . Oh because my fringe was already quite long . So i was like 'Oh , Now ?' and my mom was like , 'Yeah , Now . It must be full now so hurry up and ask adik if he wants to come' so i was like 'alright theeenn'


I changed and adik didnt want to follow so yeah . Haha .

In the car , it went like this ;



Mommy : But later Mr Chong is sending someone to take the old gate of ours . (We have a new gate so we wanted to get rid of the old gate)


Hani : Ohh , Okaay . Then , I sang in the car and we reached the place and cut my fringe . Then we bought some fruits , ice cream , bread and durians -.-'' i HATE durians . Haha .

We went back into the car .

Hani : Mommy , that Mr Chong right , is he like the husband of Mrs Chong .

Mommy : *laughed , Who ? Which Mrs Chong ?

Hani : The alaa the teacher , the one you saw the first day we went to register for my school .

Mommy : Oh , HAHAHA . Why is that so ?

Hani : Well , They have the same name .. Like i was wondering the matsalehs right , if for example Mary Thompson , They usually will call her Ms Thompson and there is Jerry Thompson and people will call him Mr Thompson , But they are not related ? It doesn't make any sense like fathers with same name but ..

Mommy : Well , That is okay . Whats wrong with it ?

Hani : Just weird , Imagine youre in the same class and you have the same father's name .

Mommy : Nahh , Its not weird . Like Malaysia , Siti here Siti there , Ntg right ?

Hani : HAHAHAHA ! Like forcing it huh . Oh ! It turned left mommy ! (there's two way to go in so they took the further turn)

Mommy : Ohh yeah ! Lets wait and see if it turns to our row

Cross Country

Hello , Today was my school's cross country and it was the first time i ran for this is my first year in this school . How did i find it ? TIRING ! Hell yeah , I ran like 6.5 km for 55 minutes i think , Whaaaaatheeeeheelll . I know for you athletes its like , hahh 6.5 km is not that bad , no big deal . Blabla but for me its like wowwwwah . :O Plus , It was freakinggg hot and yes I'm getting darker . Ohhhh grr .

Let me tell you about today , I woke up around 7 . I took my shower and blow my hair , and got ready to go . Waited for my mom like 5 minutes -.-'' And off we go around 7.30 . We had to find this school , Sekolah Rendah SS17 ? And we have no idea where it is . Amy told me it is somewhere near the Subang Parade and the Shell and all . Im bad in directions so yeah . We found SMK SS17 and i thought it was the school . Apparently , it was soo not . How should i know it was the sekolah rendah , i didnt go for the trial cross country . LOL , Serves me right . BUT Irad was there ! He was the first person i saw there , Haha . I was in the car and tadaaa he was there outside so i walked with him to the school but i couldn't see any Sri KL students . Weird huh . So i thought we were early .

Then , We saw Amanda and this one girl who i didnt ask for her name but somehow she knew my name -.-'' Weird and some juniors . 3 of them to be more specific . And Amanda said we were in the wrong school ! OMG . Haha . So she called Jia En , I think I'm not sure who and she talked to her and asked her if she knows the direction to the "REAL" school . Suddenly , Amanda gave me her phone and this dude was telling me directions . For god sake , I cant even find my way to Taipan or even Summit ! How do you expect me to understand a thing he said -.-'' So i passed the phone back to Amanda after giving up . Haha .

Later there was even some students of Sri KL coming ! haha , around 5 of them ? But we told them it was the wrong school so some went with their parents or drivers . And we were like hold on how are we suppose to go ? And weird but kind enough , a girl asked her father if she could let us ride with them . Auww , Thanks :D She saved our day for running -.-'' LOL

There was the four of us squishing at the back and making loads of noise -.-'' . Sorry uncle . HAHA . Then , We found the school and im glad there was all of the students there -.-''

Amanda and I went searching for Andrea and all . We found Shu-Fei first . Luckily she was in the same house , GO BLUE ! :D We warmed up , then we ran ;)

Oh but first , we had to line up . HAHA . And get this rubber band . Pfht . Then we run , LOL .

At first it was not so bad . And i was in front , but then Ohhhh Myyyyy Goddd . That is where i could feel the pain ! After like 15 minutes of running -.-'' When i slowed down , My leg was burning . Yawww Pain :

But then , i jogged stop jog stop jog stop , Hah . Finally half way i think , i stopped and gave up and just walked . That is where everybody took over me and i didn't give a shit about it anymore . Lol . Then Andrea was beside me , We walked for awhile then she ran . And i was alone again till Amanda showed up . Haha . And it wasn't even close yet to the end ! So we walked together and complained . Lol .

Finally , when we saw the school , how i hate that school . I expected it to show up like minutes ago but nothing , only houses . Wheres the school ? No where to be seen . What does it mean ? It is still not the end for the cross country -.-''

Ohhh , So i thought yay ! School , and i slowed down because i soo know we didn't qualify but to my surprise , we did ! haha . The teachers were like RUN ! Still got time left , and i was like what the hell and ran and got the small piece of card saying 136 . I got numb 136 . HAHA . Not bad laa kan :p

I got a sarsi drink and Amanda walked with me into the school and saw Andrea sitting . I asked her about that card and she said oh go register at the canteen , you qualified :D Amanda and I went to the canteen and registered . When we tried to find Andrea , she was no where . I saw Shu-Fei alright , and she was sitting at the back ! Suddenly , pooff shes not there . Weriddddd huh . I called my mom to pick me up .

While waiting , We went to the canteen and bought some food . Amanda bought Keropok Lekor and Teh Ice while for me , this yummy sotong ball ? I think . That orange ball thingy . Yeah , Its yumyy . HAHA .

We sat under a shady place and just relaxed . Oh took some pics too , but just a couple or so . There wasn't enough energy to cam whore . HAHA

HAHA , I entered a DRAMA COMPETITION , Like seriously ? Yeah ! Seriously . Stage Fright ? I thought i would have it , but hahh nothing . Wow , I know ;) Overcome your fears , Pfht .

Anywaay , I joined Shu-Mei's group . Well , There was the one the whole 4 Theta class group butsomehow Shu-Mei wanted to do her own for a sad touching drama while like the others , the class , as in Su Jin wanted to do comedy . So breaakkk . :D And i was with Shu-Mei . :)

And later on , Su Jin and the rest couldn't make it because something got to do with the script ? It was not sent in time and ours did . Hold up , I didn't know anything about this soo whaeva . Haha .

Continue , Oh . Our drama was about 3 best friends , where they first met was at this summer camp , they had to go back and 2 (one girl one boy) of them were living quite near but the other one was quite far . HAHA . You got my point . Anyway , This one girl that was living quite far had a thing with that boy . The other girl , She was happy for them but she got family problems . Her mother married a rich wealthy man who has one spoiled-brat fashionable daughter and obviously the mother paid more attention to her new step-daugther . Auww . Back to her other friend , Oh My Goshh . Lets just name those characters . Er , Here ;

Okay , Abby slapped Felicia during this one party and their mother was like maaddd at Abby and poor Abby was hurt and could not stand it anymore so she ran away from home . She went to her biological father somewhere where her friend , Ingrid lives . She knocked her Fathers door but he wouldnt let her in because Ursula was there and they were having a greattt time . LOL . So her father kicked her out from his house and she was all crazed up and fell asleep in a bench . Ingrid was having her morning walk when she saw Abby . Abby told her nothing yet because she was too depressed but did tell her she had nowhere to go :( So Ingrid invited her to her house and she could stay there as long as she wants , Hah . What a friend :D Later on , Abby still doesnt want to talk about it so Ingrid ended calling up her mushy lover , ASH . HAHA . Ash came over and finally Abby spilled all her problems out . Abby called her mother and settled everything . Then , Ash got to go and promised he will call Ingrid as soon as he reached home . AUW ! HAHA . Okayokay , BUT , On the way back home , Well Ash used a shortcut , A dark creepy valley . Maybe because he wanted to reach home fast , and call his loveee . AUW ! HAHA , Sorry . Unfortunately , Soem bullshit muggers was there . And they were drunk . They wanted Ash's clothes but endded up hurting him and so on . There was 2 guys and 1 girl . This girl here was one of the muggers girlfriend and wanted to stop all this but she was whacked by her boyf too . Ouch , Ass . When she woke up she found Ash laying down there , hopeless . She screamed her lungs out for help and soon , Ash was sent to the hospital . On the other hand , Ingrid was freaking worried about Ash because he hasnt call her for more than an hour . It couldnt have took him that long to reach home . She called and called but none . Nada . Abby told her to call one last time since she couldnt stand looking at her bestfriend beeing that worried and told her if he didnt pick just wait for the next day . Ingrid called for one last time and FINALLY ! someone picked up . But it was not Ash , It was some stranger telling her Ash is in the hospital . As soon she hung up , She hurried to the hospital and found Ash's mom , Susan . OH ! yeah , Aunty Susan . Haha . Okay , Aunty Susan explained everything for what the police have told her . Ingrid couldnt believe it and it was so unbelivable she went to Ash's almost-dead body an screamed and cried and all those . I bet i would have done that too . Lol , So Abby chase after her and cried too . She confronted her so things were a liilll bit okay . Suddenly , Ash has no heart beat , or i mean its getting weak and a doctor came . But only said sorry and THE END BABY ! HAHA . Sad ending huh .

Birthday Boy :)

On the 24th of March 2009 , it was my BestGuyFriend , Mohd Hafriz bin Khairani's birthday . It was his sweeeet sixteen . 16 :O And the reason why im using past tense is because i didnt post this blog on the specific date and why ? Because i was busy .. Why ? Im a student still , high school , gooo figure . Heee . :D

Alright alright , So it was on Tuesday and it's a school day . So Fiqa and I had a plan , that is going to Hafriz's house and give him the cake . Actually we just wanted to throw that cake to him andd well i'll get it to you later . Haha . I finished school at 3.40 and reached home around 4.30 . Fiqa came to my house and we went to his house .

On the waay to his house , Fiqa had in mind that she wants to throw a piece of cake to him , and i wanted to do the same thing , so we were on the same page . LOL . And we talked about things going on in my former school . Yikes , i miss that school . Hah .

When we reached his house , i told him to come out and he did and he wass freaking quiet . It wasnt the first time though but still its funny to look at . HAHA . Ehem , And he hesitated if he should invite us in or what , *i think . I dont read minds , so im just sayingg . HAHA . So i allowed myself in . In a polite way , i guess . I hope so , Haha . That was my first time entering his house :O I saw his big brotha in the living room watching TV and he saw us and stood up . I went straight to the kitchen and put the cake on the table , duh -.-'' Candles , blablabla . Light it up , blablabla and Iskandar got the camera in his hand soo there are picthos :D The pic of the cake is in my phone , so later laa . :D

I told hafriz to take some plates and stuffs . And then OH ! We SANG ! Well , actually i did . The rest , HMPH ! Haha . And my voice was AWWWWWfull . HAHA .
